Azygos continuation of the IVC interruption

Rare vascular anomaly causing dilatation of azygos vein

Over 80% of patients are related with left isomerism

Hepatic veins are directly drain into right atrium

Without hepatic segment of IVC, blood flow drains into azygos vein.
Chest PA) dilatation of azygos vein (right lower paratracheal line bulging)
CT) Absent hepatic segment of IVC, dilatation of azygos vein
