The Sappey superior artery
- Observed one-half of patients
- LIPA can supply tumors on the right side of the body and those abutting the anterior surface of the liver
- Can arise from the internal mammary artery, passes through the falciform ligament and supplies tumors located in the superior and anterior portion of the liver
- Can be connected with both IPAs and the internal mammary arteries, which means that HCCs in the superior and interior portion of the liver (S4) can be supplies with any of theses four collateral arteries
